HELD ON 23rd JUNE 2005 AT 10.15 A.M. DURING THE OPENING CEREMONY OF 30th ANNUAL MEETING OF THE IDB BOARD OF GOVERNORS AT THE PLENARY HALL, PUTRAJAYA INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTRE

a) Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Malaysia and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) on Joint Cooperation in connection with Scholarship Programmers

YB Dato' Dr. Shafie Mohd Salleh, Minister of Higher Education will sign the agreement on behalf of the Government of Malaysia, and H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ali, President of IDB will sign on behalf of IDB. YAB Dato' Seri Abdullah Hj. Ahmad Badawi, Prime Minister of Malaysian, YB Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, Second Finance Minister, and two IDB management personnel in the capacity of Vice Chairman will be as witnesses.

b) Memorandum of Understanding between the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and the Government of Malaysia and the Government of Sierra Leone regarding implementation of the capacity building for Palm Oil Production and Processing, and other related agricultural products.

YBhg. Tan Sri Ahmad Fuzi Bin Hj. Abdul Razak, Secretary General Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia will sign on behalf of the government of Malaysia and H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ali, President of IDB will sign on behalf of IDB and H.E. Mr. Joseph Bendable Dauda, Minister of Finance Sierra Leone will sign the MOU on behalf of the Government of Sierra Leone. YAB Dato' Seri Abdullah Hj. Ahmad Badawi, Prime Minister of Malaysia, YB Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, Second Finance Minister, and two IDB management personnel in the capacity of Vice Chairman will be as witnesses.


c)The Signing of Reinsurance Facility Agreement between the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investments and Export Credit (ICIEC) & Malaysia Export Credit Insurance Berhad (MECIB).

YBhg. Tan Sri Dato' Othman Mohd Rijal, Chairman of Bank Industry & Technology Malaysia Berhad will six the agreement on behalf of the MECIB and H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ali, President of IDB will sign on behalf of the ICIEC. YAB Dato' Seri Abdullah Hj. Ahmad Badawi, Prime Minister of Malaysia, YB Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, Second Finance Minister, and two IDB management personnel in the capacity of Vice Chairman will be as witnesses.

d) Memorandum of Understanding between Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Berhad (Takaful Malaysia) and Islamic Cooperation for the development of the Private Sector (ICD) for Sale and Purchase of Asean Retakaful International (L) Limited Shares

The signing will be between Y.Bhg Dato' Fadzil Yusof, Chief Executive Officer, Takaful Malaysia and H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ali, President of IDB will sign on behalf of ICD. YAB Dato' Seri Abdullah Hj. Ahmad Badawi, Prime Minister of Malaysia, YB Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, Second Finance Minister, and two IDB management personnel in the capacity of Vice Chairman will be as witnesses.
