KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) -- I sometimes wonder what goes on in the minds of parents who post numerous photos of their young children online.

Children are precious and cute, and we tend to feel more so when they are ours. In the age of social media, flaunting one's pride and happiness online seems to be the norm.

However, parents have been told many a time that they should draw the line when it comes to their children. This is because such pictures may attract unwanted attention with unimaginable consequences.

I was once shown the social media account of a parent who frequently uploaded photos of his own daughter onto his account.

RANAU (Sabah) (Bernama) -- Haddy Piris checked on the charcoal fire in the furnace before placing an iron rod in it.

As the furnace was still not hot enough, so he walked towards a power point at a corner of the room to switch on the blower placed in front of the furnace.

"Every craftsmen is different. Instead of using a bamboo pipe to blow in the air, I use the blower as it helps to maintain a strong fire and balanced heat," said the 35-year old craftsmen from the Dusun community here.

This writer and her colleagues from the media were recently taken to Haddy's metal workshop in Kampung Kinaratuan in Ranau, Sabah. The media visit was organised recently by Kraftangan Malaysia.
