MIDF Appoints Investment Bank Deputy CEO


KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 (BERNAMA) -- Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Bhd (MIDF) has announced the appointment of Mohamad Safri bin Shahul Hamid as the deputy chief executive officer of MIDF Amanah Investment Bank Bhd.

Safri is a sukuk specialist and was involved in many transactions, both onshore and offshore, including the world's first exchangeable sukuk, the world's first Islamic residential mortgage backed securities (RMBS) and the world's first hybrid sukuk.

MIDF expressed confidence that with his vast experience and expertise in the area of Islamic finance, Safri would contribute to the growth of MIDF Investment.

MIDF is a diversified group with substantial investments in the financial services industry.

The company is a subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) group of companies.
