Tourism Malaysia Promotes Sabah's Premier Events Through New Tour Packages
KOTA KINABALU, June 13 (Bernama) -- Tourism Malaysia's Sabah Office with the support of eight Sabah tour agents has developed its latest brochure - Sabah Premier Events "Best Of Borneo" Tour Packages - in an effort to boost promotion of the state.
The brochure is specially created in conjunction with the state's five spectacular premier events, namely Sabah Fest (May 3-4), Sabah Dragon Boat Race (June 15-16), Sunset Music Festival (June 28-29), Kokol International Paragliding Race (Sept 16-18) and Mt. Kinabalu International Climbathon (Oct 19-20).
A statement issued by Tourism Malaysia Sabah said the travel packages enabled tourists to witness, experience and learn more about the events. It is also in line with Tourism Malaysia's effort to continue offering various innovative and creative tourism products to suit every interest and budget.
Fifteen tour packages that range from 2 Days 1 Night to 4 Days 3 Nights have been created, promising tourists a fun-filled time with lots of exciting activities.
In conjunction with the Sabah Dragon Boat Race at Likas Bay, Kota Kinabalu, the 3 Days 2 Nights' Merlin Dragon package has been created. Through this tour package, tourists get to witness the race on either June 15 or 16 and enjoy a day trip to one of the islands in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, besides a trip to Klias River, famed for its long-nosed proboscis monkeys.
Another interesting tour package created in June is the 2 Days 1 Night 'Romancing The Music at the Tip of Borneo' package, in conjunction with the Sunset Music Festival. Be prepared to be mesmerised by the amazing talents of the musicians as they bring ultimate musical bliss while the red sun vanishes to below the horizon at the Tip of Borneo, Kudat.
New Minister of Tourism and Culture Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz is expected to grace the event on June 29.
Those interested in any of the promoted events or would like to join the tour packages can get in touch with any of the eight tour agents for further details.
Tourism Malaysia Sabah will also be promoting the tour packages through websites, online social media, email blast and distribution of brochures at Tourism Malaysia state and overseas offices.
