Southern Region News July 19, 2012 20:25 PM More Police Personnel To Be Stationed At Melaka Schools MELAKA, July 19 (Bernama) -- Melaka police have stationed more personnel at school compounds statewide, during the start and end of daily sessions, to prevent 'bad hats' from contacting students. Melaka police chief Datuk Chuah Ghee Lye said the move to station the police personnel took effect from yesterday. "It is up to the district police headquarters to determine the number of personnel to be stationed at each school," he told reporters after launching the school crime prevention seminar at Seri Negeri here Thursday. The seminar was launched by Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam and participated by 1,200 students of primary and secondary schools in the state. -- BERNAMA
