Terengganu Government Identifies Two Students Involved In Bersih 3.0
KUALA TERENGGANU, June 2 (Bernama) -- Despite warnings and punishment meted out, students sponsored by the Terengganu Foundation (YT) appear to be unfazed and remain adamant in wanting to participate in illegal assemblies.
It is clear that the retraction of study loans from nine students who took part in Egypt's uprising last year has not taught the rest a lesson, as two more YT students were found to have been involved in the April Bersih 3.0 rally in Kuala Lumpur.
The two students from Trefound Educare, wholly owned by YT, have been issued a show-cause letter and their fate will be known after a board of directors meeting soon.
Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said today described the students' behaviour as appearing to challenge the government because they were aware of the rules.
He said that the government was also still in the process of identifying several other students who were involved.
