Sabah News May 16, 2012 17:29 PM Tawau MOF Seize 4,930kg Of Cooking Oil, 480kg Granulated Sugar TAWAU, May 16 (Bernama) -- The Tawau Marine Operations Force (MOF) seized 4,930 kilograms of cooking oil and 480kg of granulated sugar in two different raids yesterday. Acting Commanding Officer of the Tawau MOF, ASP Mohamad Ismail said the two items were seized from two boats, one of which was heading to Tarakan, Indonesia off Tawau waters. "In the 12.05am incident, the MOF had inspected the boat and found about 3,400kg of cooking oil, 480kg of granulated sugar and seven barrels of cooking gas without legal documents," he said in a statement here, today. He said, the MOF also arrested a 39-year-old man who did not have any legal travel documents. During the second incident, Mohamad said, the Tawau MOF seized 1,530kg of cooking oil and arrested a 32-year-old Indonesian man from a boat which was inspected near Sabindo around 6.30pm. -- BERNAMA
