28 Recommendations Being Implemented To Reduce Teachers' Workload - Muhyiddin

KUALA KANGSAR, May 16 (Bernama) -- A working committee established to see how teachers' workload could be reduced is implementing 28 recommendations to address 14 issues that have been brought up, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

He said among measures implemented included introducing a single data entry system in place of multiple systems.

"This system is being implemented as a pilot project in 88 schools and gradually to all schools under the Ministry of Education by 2013," he said when opening the 41st national-level Teacher's Day celebration here today.

He said the ministry was also conducting pilot study on the placement administrative assistants N17 in schools until June to see its impact in reducing teacher's clerical workload.

"A proposal will be submitted to the Public Service Department for recruitment of administrative assistants N17 for schools," he said.
